I assume that's probably your first thought when you discovered the revival of this blog. I'll skip the part where I tell you all about the numerous fashion blogs out there and that the world isn't exactly in need of more. Instead I'll try my hand at explaining why I've decided to pollute the blogosphere with yet another fashion blog.
First of all, I have been longing to discover a gemstone amongst the ocean of fashion blogs. A fashion blog that appreciate the simplicity in clothes and style, focus on French dressing, discuss the importance of perfect cuts, timeless clothing, the perfect capsule wardrobe and so on. I really enjoy reading those kind of blogs but unfortunately there are only a few of them (and they're all on my blogroll). Trust me, I am constantly searching for blogs that satisfy my demands and I tell you that's not a simple task. Recently I discovered that one of my favorite blogs, which met my demands, got deleted. The disappearance left me devastated. Then an idea struck me, since I couldn't find the kind of blog I want to read, I would create one myself.

As some of you may have noticed, my style has evolved and changed a lot over the past years. Not only have my style changed – as a person I'm definitely not the same old Fleurette you remember from the other blog. Okay, so I am still the "same" person, but much grown-up, reasonable and fatter (lol). I've noticed that I appreciate simplicity in everything nowadays. I like the idea of simple living and I've become more aware of environmental problems. Every day I am seemingly getting better at participating in earth day activities. Consumerism is yet another problem I observe amongst the fashion bloggers. I believe it is possible to look stylish, well perhaps not stylish, but great and chic without the urge to add new items to the wardrobe all the time.
A year ago, I donated practically all my clothes to charity. That's my first step to the pursuit of a simpler and greener life. I feel greater and I love the fact that I do not have to respond to a lot of clothes and clutter in my life anymore.
So, I guess the revival is my attempt to create the fashion blog I am constantly searching for. And I guess I am using the blog to deal with depression, loneliness and low self-esteem as well as hoping to inspire someone out there to stop shopping the planet to death. Blogging keeps my mind occupied.
